Suitcase on wheels to carry sewing machine?

Does anyone have any recommendation for a suit-case like thing with a collapsible handle - that I could use to haul around my sewing machine? I know they make some specifically for sewing machines, but wouldn't a suitcase-one work just as well?

    Brands?
    Things to look out for?
    Things to be aware of?

I don't think a regular suitcase would work because the ones made for the machines are very sturdy and padded with foam to help protect the machine from being bumped and jostled around too much.
That being said, if you packed the suitcase with padding of your own it might work.

I think it would depend what exactly you are using the wheeled bag for.

For example, if it is you doing the handling and it is just for back and forth to class (friend's house, etc) I use a wheeled cart that is for scrapbookers (because it has lots of pockets!), but if I have any further to go I use the Bernina case that came with my machine and a collapsible luggage cart (it has attached bungee cords).

I have to admit Precious doesn't leave the house very often! I think if she did, I might invest in a purpose built bag for her.

Which brings me to the rest of my point. If you are going to be travelling by plane or train, or if the handling of the machine is mostly going to be done by someone other than yourself, I WOULD invest the money in a good rolling cart.

Before you buy anything, talk to the person who fixes your machine. I have a Bernina 180 and a 640. My 180 does fine in the sewing machine rolly that I bought years ago. The 640 doesn't. I had it in for something else and he discovered that the shaft for the knob that controls stitch width had broken. He said it probably happened when I was moving it in the rolly.
