I guess you and I are doing a "The Harcombe Diet" versus "Slimming World". Can't wait to meet up again sometime this year!
My experience shows that most people are taller than me  (even some of the 11 yr olds at school  ) Still at this rate I might be able to start buying childrens clothes soon  Hope we do manage to meet up again this year - how about the Great Northern Show? it looks like it is before term starts again this year (and if I 'extract digit' and get Caught Red Handed finished, I'll get a free entry pass too 8) )

As for THD versus SW , the proof, as they say, will be in the pudding....

and Lorchen put April 2014 in your diary for the Loch Lomond quilt show. While you've not been around much we've been plotting a get together with several others from across the pond and Europe

Girls, I always keep an eye on all dates for shows that are within reach for me. Not sure at this point how 'Northern' will work out with the new baby, and Loch Lomond is very tempting, but I'm quite committed to be at the British Quilt Guild AGM this year because it's in Nottingham. So I haven't even looked at other 'stuff' in April. I'll let you know how thing are panning out. Just keep me in the loop so that I know who is going where and when, and I'll try my best!

Rosemary, my late father would have called you a 'Pocket Venus'!!

Lorchen, Loch Lomond isn't until 2014 so maybe it won't clash with the BQG AGM if it's this year?

Ooops, thanks for pointing out that I'm a year out, Rita. Yes, 2014 so far looks quite empty with lots of flexibility. And I loooove Scotland!!

Lorchen, I'm a wee bit late in reading this, but congratulations on your forward movement with weight loss! It is such a part of our overall health picture, you have definitely done your body the best GOOD deed ever! And I know it wasn't an easy, smooth journey!

Or 2lb butter to my way of thinking. Good for you Lorchen. You have inspired me to get the few pounds off that have been coming between me and my favourite jeans - so far 4lb!

Lorchen, I have been telling my sister that I need to lose some weight as I have graduated to my fat trousers, all the others are too small and I need to lose weight. I will start today. Your success is encouraging me to get rid of the Christmas excess. Thank you.

Well done, Rita! Four pounds is a lot.

I was wondering if I should reward myself with a Fat Quarter for every pound I loose...... But in my case that would get rather expensive (59 FQs so far). So I decided not to count like that but spent £59 on fabrics from Oakshott.

Great idea, Lorchen! You can use it for a special 'new you' quilt!

That's a great idea Lorchen, I might do that too.

Lorchen, what an excellent idea! I'll join you in buying fabric when enough pounds are lost to go on a Kaffe Fasset spree. A great reward for our hard work.
