    Snowy for me!

Today I am having snow that doesn't want to stop right now. This is unusual for where I live near the 1200' level. I live just south of Clearlake, CA. Only one other time this year on New Years Eve did we have 3" and that was a record day. I think we will be beyond that today. I know it doesn't mean a lot to you people who have snow lots of times. I am at the stage where it is gorgeous outside. Mary Noel

Why don't you normally get snow? Is 1200 ft too low? Funny, on this coast, it doesn't matter what your elevation is-it snows all over.

Normally I do not get snow. I can give you 105 temps in the summer time though. The mountains around me are around the 3000' level so they do and did get snow. I had 2-3" whereas up there my sister had over 6". She is only 20 miles from me. And we live in the coastal range mountains instead of the other side of the state where the Sierra Nevada mountains just got dumped with 3+ feet of snow. More like what you would get most likely. So mine will be gone in about 2 days which is fine. More than you wanted to know most likely. Mary Noel

It's snowy here too, I'm in Reno. We got about 3 inches and to hear the weather people on tv you'd think we were going to have to build igloo's and dig out! It's rediculous! THey closed school today....at least started it late; then they told us the banks would be open. I don't understand about that but it is what it is. Very over-reactive if you ask me. Mary
