Thursday morning -- and more snow!!!!!!
Okay -- this is Connecticut, not the North Pole!! Another 15 inches since yesterday. And it's not even February yet! I should have bought skis in October. But I am getting some sewing done, that's for sure. I put together two blocks from BH's no longer a mystery quilt - even though I still have only half the red hs/ triangles sewn together. So at least all the pieces fit together without it being a crisis. A missed point here or there doesn't count  !!

Peggy I saw that you guys are really getting hit. We too have more snow falling, though to be honest I kind of expect that in January here. it's a tad slick though. HOpe hubby makes it ok in his Insight.
I also love you blocks.
Yesterday I did get all my errands run, found the stuff at good will I needed, and got a major work out in that kick my butt big time. Today I am helping some mom's out by watching kiddos and then picking another two kiddos up. I am also volunteering at the school and doing Market Day today. I am hoping that admist all that I can get some quilting in as I was lazy last night again and watched shows that I hadn't seen and needed to catch up on. I am so tired today so I have a feeling it could be quite lazy.
Though I will be packing for our weekend trip to the Dells and the indoor water parks. We are all quite excited as our life has been really crazy lately and this is going to be a well needed break and time to just have fun. We are getting a condo with 3 other college friend couples and two of them have little ones. We have never really done this before but I am hoping it goes well so that we can make it an annual tradition. I just really want to have fun and just really enjoy ourselves.
Have a great day everyone and stay warm and safe with all this snow.

Stacey

Peggy, I am so sorry your are being buried with all the snow. We have had it fairly light so far this year here. Actually it is snowing right now, but will only get about an inch and then some more this afternoon. I do love the blocks and look forward to seeing the finished top.
Stacey, I just don't know how you do all that you do in a day. I envy your energy. I hope you and your family and friends have a wonderful time at the Dells. My kids have gone there, but DH and I haven't visited yet.
Today we are off to the VA again for some physical therapy for DH. If I get the urge, I need to do some work on a Round Robin Challenge our stitching group is doing. I plan to work in the studio all day tomorrow. Then on Saturday our Bee Happy Stitchers will be coming to the studio for a day of stitching, chatting, and lots of laughter.
Hoping everyone has a terrific day and stay safe.

Hello,
We'll it's been snowing since 7 this morning and I'm not sure when it's supposed to stop and we're supposed to get more tomorrow.
Peggy I love your blocks. They turned out wonderfully!
I GOT MY BINDING DONE THIS MORNING!!!!!!! The My Little Monkey Quilt is D-O-N-E!!! It only took me a year and a half. After 6 months it went on my UFO list so I'm gonna be crossing this one off! Woooo Hoooo! I think I just heard the dry buzz so I'm gonna get any last threads off and gift wrap it up today! First one done for the new year for me!
Now I gotta race to get another baby quilt done for my friend before next weekend. It's her baby shower then. I should try and find everything I need for that one today. But Mom and I are gonna head into town for a workout and then run some errands and I want to organize my closet today too.
Hope everyone has a productive day!
Happy Stitching,
Margaret

Nice job on those blocks, Peggy. HS & QS triangles are not my favs! We got another 10" of snow overnight. This brings our total to something like, I don't know, 64". Enough already. I was planning to spend a GC at my LQS today but roads are still a mess. I tried to post a pic here but it's not as easy as on QYWay. (SUCCESS !!) Just put a Lasagna in the oven and will continue working on my Birthday Swap blocks. Hope all have a great day!

Hi, Just joining the playground and YES, we have SNOW, another 12" on Wednesday. It's Friday and we're not completely dug out yet, my car is still covered with a foot of snow in the driveway but that's OK because I'm not going anywhere. Hope to do some sewing today, but I've said that everyday this week. First I had to get my sewing room back together as DS#3 and family from CA were visiting last weekend and DH and my hobby rooms were turned into bedrooms. I know I'll sew today because my lunch for this afternoon has been rescheduled. I've rescheduled so many appointments and meetings it will be Spring before I'm caught up. May

That's funny, Jersey Gal, because I'm doing the exact opposite! DD and fam, DS#2, girlfriend and doggie, and DS#3 are arriving tomorrow for an overnight visit so I have to CLEAN UP my sewing room to change it into a guest room again. I'd been working on a scrap quilt for 3 weeks, so the mounds of scraps were staggering. Looks okay this morning after spending yesterday afternoon in there. But I have to put away the sewing machine, the ironing board and the collapsible table and get the vaccuum cleaner out. Okay -- here's a question....for those of you with carpeted floors -- do you usually run one of those sticky rollers over the floor before you vaccuum? Or do you just let the vaccuum do it's thing?

Peggy,
my winter sewing room (dining room) is carpeted and I use my vac at the end of each day. Seems to work just fine, but threads are minimal as I use a "buddy" thread catcher next to my machine. My summer porch has that berber (sp?) carpet and I need to vac twice after days of sewing. Not easy to change a sewing room to a "hotel" room, so many things....esp. working with scraps, but definitely worth it to enjoy your company ~ your big family get-togethers sound like loads of fun!!

My sewing room has a very low carpet and I use one of those stick vacs to clean up the floor. It works very well picking up threads and pieces of fabric and I do empty it often. May
