I'm glad Katelyn is home now, as I believe we sometimes can heal better there! I pray the leg regains feeling, and admire her spirit for setting up goals. I will keep Katelyn and the whole family on my prayer list. Also, I pray you are better!

Katelynn's determination to get going and get into college is very inspiring. She has one of those spirits that shine. Prayers for her continuing improvement from this latest episode in her life are many....we are all cheering her onward.

Judy, I am so sorry I did not see this sooner, but I am very glad that Katelyn is home and making progress. She is a star. And a smartie, making the plans that she is.

I hope you are feeling better yourself! All we need is a little germ hovering about, then the stress comes and down we go. Take care of you too. Hugs...

Here is an update on Katelyn. Well she is up and about, driving, running around, you know teenage girl stuff. Her left foot is still numb but it doesn't seem to affect her that much. She is walking fine. She is having some lingering back pain from the second spinal she had and the doctors were so supportive. They just told her she will now probably have back problems for the rest of her life. Isn't that encouraging? If she was a negative person with "help" like that she could be crippled in a month, but thank God she has a spirit of not letting things get to her so I look for it to get better with time. She hasn't started back to school yet, but is working on the process. She definitely is not going back to the high school, she is going to go to the college and get her HS diploma and then on the the college courses. They are figuring out what grants, scholarships, etc. she can get to handle all the costs. I'm sure with her health problems that there are plenty out there that she can get. She is working with the counselors at the college. The good thing is that the college is only about 2 miles from her home and if she stays at her other nana's she can see the parking lot from her apt. So getting back and forth won't be a problem.

Thanks again for all the prayers and I'm certain that they are what has gotten her through the last almost 18 years and they are what will keep her going for many, many more.

              Judy

That's such great news Judy!!! As far as the cost of the college - here in MN, if a student does post-secondary - college classes for high school classes, their school district foots the bill. That might be something to check out. I know of a few kids from our little town that graduated from high school and already had 2 years of college at the same time.

                      Judy,
Great to hear Katelyn is doing so well. She has a wonderful spirit to get going like she does. Good luck to her in finding funding for school. See if there is a PEO organization near you. This group provides grants and low cost loans for women working on a degree. I will keep her in prayer.

I am requesting prayers for my DS Jason in the Air Force. I found out today that he is on leave indefinitely due to work related stress. He is in a group therapy. Sorry I can't go into more detail, but prayers for him would be much appreciated by this mother.

                        Thanks, Sharon

I will be praying for your son. I can't imagine the things he must face in the military.

No need to go into detail......your request is enough. Prayers being offered in MA for Jason and all in his group therapy. The military does so much for us; prayers are the least we can do for them.
