Thank you for your quick response. One of the reasons I prewash is to shrink the fabric.

On QYW MB we'd start the day with a cuppa and say good morning to our friends. I'm hoping we can continue that on this forum Alex has so graciously provided......Thanks, Alex!!!!!! Today is a snowy day in SE WI and wouldn't you know, I didn't go to the pharmacy and library yesterday, so guess I have to go out in it today!!!! I'm hoping today can have some quilty time. I have a challenge due soon from my quilt guild and I have just been hitting a brick wall. The Challenge......we randomly picked a packet of seeds and that is to be our inspiration. I got colored sweet peppers.........I love the colors, purple, orange, yellow, cream, red. When I first saw the packet and thought a bit I remembered my mother's garden, so have been toying with that. I do have a "picture" in my mind, but getting it from my mind to the fabric..............yikes!!!!! Maybe I'll work on some 9 patches for the retreat swap and just let my mind wander!!!!! Hope all have a grand day........stay safe and quilt to your heart's content!!!!!! Shirley Ann

Gotta have that bread and milk for the milk sandwiches LOL...............only those of us who get snowed in may appreciate that thought. DH is blowing the driveway off even though the snow is still coming down....not quite as fast as he is removing it!!!!!

Shirley - thanks for posting today. I'm sort of wandering here. A new journey - but you need to locate the road signs, right? Snow coming for us tonight. 12 inches plus. No snowblower - ugh!!! And I'm working on a guild challenge as well. Picked three colors out of a bag -- and use those three with one neutral--and include one flower motif. I'm still deciding whether I can do anything with it. I've got ideas rolling around in my head -- but as you said -- it's putting it on fabric. I guess that's why they call it a challenge, right? Duh!

The snow has all melted here in the North-East of England, but it was bitterly cold outside and much too warm inside (I work in a school). And if anybody has too much time, please, feel free to come over and help me. My house is in desperate need of a good clean, but I'm too tired when I get home from work. On the positive side: I have renewed my subscription for 'Quilt Life' for another 2 years. From the edge of Sherwood Forest, home of Robin Hood

I got to work OK but watched it snow all afternoon. Surprisingly the roads in WV were great when I left. Unfortunately I can not say the same for PA. In all fairness though the snow had stopped in WV but was still falling in PA. Fortunately my street was plowed about 5 min before I got home. I live on the top of a hill and would not have made it up without the plow. We'll see if I get to work tomorrow.
Most of the evening has been spent getting to this new site. I still have not figured out how to get to the se posts from the main page.
Good news - DD#1 had an ultrasound this morning and we are expecting dgs#2 in June. He will arrive around his brother's birthday. All is well so far and we are looking forward to our new family member.
Take care.

it is nice to see the daily post started here. It is cold in NCWashington and they are expecting snow tonight. Then they expect rain and that will really be a mess. Have Dr appts in Wenatchee on Saturday and then again on Tuesday so hope it all moderates.
Have spent the afternoon arranging and cataloguing my So Fine and King Tut threads - making sure I have the appropriate SuperBob bobbins to match as best as I can - have sent an order to Sew Thankful for a few new spools plus more prewound bobbins. I swore I would never use them - yeah, right! Now I really don't have any excuse to not get the longarm humming and tackle the horrendous UFO list I have. Wish me luck!
Stay warm and keep stitching!

Evening all,
I'm soooooo happy we're having a daily post... w/o it I would be lost I think. I always write it down here and then in my planner... You guys know what I have to do before anyone else in my household knows what they need to do for the day.
So I had my dad's Dr. appt today. It was for Dermatology. This is the first apt E-V-E-R that I haven't needed to make an additional follow up. He has a standing quarterly appt to check for skin cancers (kidney transplant drugs do that.) I was doing a happy dance the whole way down the hall and out to the car!!! :P Stacey - thanks so much for watching mom for me. Got home and got dinner all going... the hubby was a bear from the minute he walked in the door. It didn't help we got 4 inches of snow he had to blow. Some how mom got a teaspoon down the disposal so he had to tear that apart and talk to work at the same time. Yeah... it hasn't been a smooth night so far... So no quilting for me but yesterday I did learn how to do mittered corners. I think finishing those up tomorrow will make my list. Hope everyone has a good night. Prayers to all those who need em
Happy Stitching,

Snow arrived late Tuesday night here in Ct. Woke up to sleet at about 5 AM here along the coast, but inland is reaching 2-3 feet of snow. 3 hours later and it has changed to snow and so far we have drifts of about 16 inches. This still has a while to go before stopping so we'll see what we end up with. I think it is a good day to stay in my feety pj's and drink cocoa. Okay I might go in my sewing room too. From the edge of Sherwood Forest, home of Robin Hood
