An Exhibit of My Quilts at G Street Fabrics
Hi folks. I somehow missed the notices of your comments. I have not been over there since the exhibit started. My son David, who lives with me [no, it's not a failure to launch, it's a convenient arrangement for both of us while he's establishing his writing career], had gone off to be a guest author at Ravencon in Williamsburg, VA, and taken the good car, and since the store is an hour from here via the beltway and another major road through some of the worst traffic in the DC area I don't go often anyway. He had a great conference but came down with "concrud" (a really really bad cold) hours after he got here.
Sometime later I am going to go and give a walkthrough lecture about my quilting and as I said, this is part one. Part two starts in July. I have not sold anything yet. I did ask my friend Mei Ling to take some pictures, but I think she didn't get the email. I will do something this coming week though. Sorry I haven't answered some of you. I really appreciate the interest. Pictures will come, and probably more than you want to see in the end. LOL

Hi everyone! G Street Fabrics in Rockville, Maryland, has undertaken to exhibit most of my quilts over the next several months in their store. This exhibit is in two parts...part one will be in the Bernina section starting next Monday 24 April. Part two starts in mid July and runs through August. I wrote a little blog post about it all. It's very exciting for me and I am grateful to G Street for their doing this for me. G Street seems to me to be coming back strongly after having closed its two stores in Virginia, much to my chagrin, and moving from its more glamorous store in Rockville to its current store. In many ways, I think the new store, which has a bit of a warehouse atmospherics about it, is actually very interesting and has wonderful classrooms set up well for its ongoing classes. I will be teaching a class in June on quilting there. It's already filled. What a nice thing for them to do for me! If you are anywhere nearby, or are passing through, I encourage you to go see the store. Piles of interesting fabrics, everything from quilting to home dec, an excellent buttons and other embellishments section, and the Bernina section is really wonderful. Cheers everyone!
