    Houston 2015

I can hardly contain myself waiting in anticipation of this year's Quilt Festival. Does anyone know if we are going to try to get together for dinner this year? I think I missed it last year.

    #2
    Hi Brenda -

As far as I know, we didn't have a dinner last year. I don't think anyone was able to organize it. I'd love to get together with people! But I also have a busy schedule, so we'll have to see if any times work. I've already talked to Dawn and Heather about meeting up, but we didn't specify a time. And there's usually a get together at the TQS booth. For me, Monday or Tuesday lunch would be good times to meet with people, but most other people probably won't be there then since the show isn't going on yet. Of course, it's because the show isn't going on yet that those times are good for me. :S If anyone has suggestions of other times to get together, I'd love to see if it fits into my schedule. As usual, I've signed up for way too many classes!

I will be around since I live here

Nancy, if nothing else works out, I would love to meet you for lunch or afternoon coffee or something either Mon or Tues, depending on timing and all (I have to ferry kids to/from classes....)

Would definitely love a meet-up at the show too though, for all who can. I'll be on-site on Weds night with a good friend (I forget her screen name here!), in class all day on Thursday, then at the Quiltapalooza PJ party on Thurs night, and then I'm sure we'll be back part of the day on Friday, probably most of the day on Saturday and my friend flies home on Sunday so that's a no-go for me.

(*my friend & I are staying at the Hilton on Weds night, but could only get the one night, and since I live so close we'll be at my house the other nights)

But keep me in the loop! I'm hoping to meet several of you!

I have classes Mon and Tues, so just have the 12-2 lunch time free. When I get home tonight, I'll post my schedule so maybe we can make some plans.

Here are my current free times. Let me know if anyone else is free and wants to get together. I'm happy to meet for a meal or to walk around the show and the vendors since those are the things I'll be doing with this time if I'm alone, too.

          Monday 12-2
          Tuesday 12-2
          Wednesday 5-10
          Thursday 12-2, 5-10
          Friday 8-6
          Saturday 12-2, 5-10
          Sunday 12-10

Yep, I really did fill up my time with that many classes.....

I could possibly come to lunch on Monday, but will definitely be there Weds 5 - 10, Thurs 12- 2 (Thurs night we'll be at the Quiltapalooza PJ party), could meet up sometime during Friday, or lunch on Saturday.

When we know when everyone is available at the same time, we can pinpoint it. Or swap cell phone numbers via email so we can text and meet up day-of if we feel like it.

I've been looking at the vendor list and don't see TQS or Ricky Tims on it. Does anyone know if TQS is not having a booth this year?

I think they must be, because the newsletter recently had a blurb about stopping by with your TQS badge in the new colors......maybe the vendor list isn't complete yet? I didn't know they'd released it finally.....

That's good. Maybe they're on the list and I missed it.I will be helping in booth 923 Summer Sky Creations if anyone wants to stop by.

The Quilt Show's booth number is 1016 which is really close to 923 (Summer Sky Creations) where I will be. So hopefully I will get a chance to see everyone who is there this year
