Carson Valley Quilt Guild is hosting a special show (“Nevada Then and Now”) which celebrates Nevada’s 150 Year of Statehood (Sesquicentennial) on Saturday June 7th and Sunday June 8th, 2014. It will be held at the Carson High School, 1111 N. Saliman Road, Carson City, Nevada. Special Guest Lecturer is nationally-known teacher and author, Cindy Needham. In addition to the judged show, shopping mall vendors, demonstrations, refreshments, stunning opportunity quilt, and extensive raffle basket prizes, select guild members will present a Heritage Exhibit (bed-turning) while sharing the stories of their treasured antique quilts on display. Hours are 10 to 4 on both days. Parking is free. Admission is $10 per day, or $15 for two days. Saturday lecture + admission is $20, Sunday lecture + admission is $20. (Lecture only rates for Sat or Sun are $15 per day.) Pre-registration for Cindy Needham’s lecture is strongly advised.
