    Paducah 2014

I hope that some of you will be in Paducah for the show in a couple of weeks. I'd like to offer our front porch as a place to rest a while, drink some wine, have some food during the week. We're at 321 Madison St. which is halfway between the show and the quilt museum. Last year, my friend Karen (GroverQuilts) got so inspired by the Egyptian appliquers that she bought some supplies and sat on the porch and quilted for an afternoon. I wasn't even home - I just knew someone had been there when I saw the little bits of thread on the floor.
    Hope to see you.

    Hey Robin!
I'm coming up early this year and will try to stop by Tuesday or Wednesday evening if you will be there by then! Thanks for your amazing hospitality!
    See you and Steve soon!

Robin, I would love to meet you and Margo! Is this walking distance from the show? I don't know a lot, this will be my first time in Paducah (so excited!).

Do you think there will be a TQS booth?

Sigh! It was an aspiration of mine to make it this year but it was not to be. Maybe next year!

Susan, it's 2 blocks from the show. There's always a TQS presence at the show and traditionally 1:00 each day is a meet and greet at Ricky's booth.
andree, I will be "not" celebrating a milestone birthday while I'm at the show this year.

Yes, Robin, but some of us remember a wonderful birthday surprise for you that your darling Steve set up several years ago!!

Susan, I will be attending the awards ceremony and sneak preview on Tuesday night and will stop the TQS booth Wednesday at 1:00 and by Robin's Wednesday evening.
Today is the last day to pre-register for those events at this web site:

I will be going to the show, but not yet sure of the day. Depends on my Grandma duties. I will aim for Wednesday. I may go back on Friday too. I love Ricky's show. After MQS, money is tight, but I will control my spending.  There will be over 200 vendors there. Ricky's booth is right next to The Quilt Life/The Quilt Show booth. It is always a great show.

Robin, your house in Paducah is just gorgeous, and I still have fond memories of your birthday cake from last year! In my book, it's one of the hidden gems of Paducah! And if the welcome mat is out, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to see it again! Susan, Robin Gold and I are staying in the same hotel, so I will try to get us all there during "visiting hours".

I will be at the show all week, as I am taking classes at the museum to learn quilt appraising. I will try to get by sometime, Robin. I still remember fondly last year's wonderful visit!
