WOW! I'm behind again! I've been so busy that I haven't been checking the forum. I've got to get my list started. Since my kids are grown this is my favorite list to make all year...the "who is coming to Houston when and where list"! (no more huge birthday and Christmas list!)
So far I haven't found a restaurant down town that would have a private or more secluded area for us to dine. I think everyone enjoyed the restaurant last year except for all the noise. Let me know if you have a differing opinion or would like to try some place new.
Dawn, I didn't get your email, but I will include you.
Now where did I put that pen and paper...Happy Quilting,
Shiner TX

Oh boy, am I ever excited about Houston...I absolutely cannot wait to see old friends again, and to meet so many new people, and to buy thread. Kelly, I didn't know you were coming. I'm so glad! :P I'm staying a little extra time this year. I love hanging out, drinking coffee on the second floor in the early mornings and talking to whoever. What a great week it will be!

Good for you, Mary! Even if you've already attended to a RT Super Seminar, you will get a huge bang for your buck attending the "Ricky's Best Kept Secrets" event. And his concerts never fail to entertain!

Don't feel bad, Bridget. We have to raise our children first, and before we know it the grandchildren start multiplying! Last year was my first year to attend and I only live about 4 hours away and my children have been raised for more than a dozen years. The new time made a difference with my decision to go but I believe I would have gone anyway. It didn't help that a grandson decided that was a good week to be born 6 years ago and another one is due the week before this year, and it's also the opening of deer season, and Halloween often falls in there somewhere. I'm not a trick or treating person but my grandchildren like to visit in their costumes. Planning ahead of time is also hard for me to do, but maybe next year it will work out to stay a little longer.

Wow! this is great! Wanda, I'll combine all the lists I've received so far and send you a first pass later today (without photos and fancy formatting) so you can get a count for the restaurant. This is my first time, so I can't give you any advice about the restaurant.
Dana, I'll be staying until Monday morning, too. The tour I'm coming with is taking everyone to the airport around noon on Sunday, but I want to stay until the end, so I'll have to find a hotel to stay in Sunday night.
