    Summer travel plans?

Wondering how many TQS members have quilt related (or not) travel planned this summer. I am scheduled to leave June 19th for a quilt cruise.

Our son and DIL and new grandbaby live in Seattle and we are going to be there the week of 4th of July. Her daycare mom is on vacation that week, so we get to babysit. Yippee. We are also planning to drive and DH already knows we will be stopping at quilt shops. He just doesn't know how many. Tee Hee

Have fun on your quilt cruise. Send reports back, I have always thought that would be fun.

I'm heading to California later this month for the Ricky Tims SuperSeminar!!!! And I'll also be able to visit my mom, my daughter, and my two darling granddaughters. Wonderful! In August, I'm driving to Boulder for a taping of TQS. Anyone else going to either of these?

Our travel plans haven't been finalized yet but we are probably heading to southern Oregon via Idaho. We usually spend time in Coeur d'Alene so I get to go to Bear Paw Quilting and Bernina plus we stop at lots of shops along our route. My husband always has a magazine to read while I browse. Sometimes there is a sports shop close by and we are both happy.

My husband has a Dreux American High School reunion in August in Reston, VA. While there I'm going to Great Falls to the Jinny Beyer Quilt Shop.

Fi, we'll have to try to connect in Rocklin. Are you going to stay in the dorm or in a hotel? I'll be in the dorm. I'll probably also get there pretty early. I'll be staying with a friend near there the night before, but she's got morning events, so I'll be on my own until registration at 2:30. I'm thinking I should try to get a TQS badge made ... Robin

We're going to Disney World in August with our Boy Scout band. They're playing there. Thank goodness for AC!!!

Then in October, we're heading to Washington, DC. DD Keri wants to see ALL the monuments and memorials; I am looking forward to the Smithsonian. Of course there will be a side trip to Great Falls, VA to Jinny Beyer's shop.

'm going to Colorado in July for Ricky Tim's quilting retreat, plus the two day dyeing workshop before the retreat! Of course, I'll try to find all the quilt shops between California and Colorado on the route there.

We're not travelling this summer, but in the fall when my younger child is off to college we're taking a long weekend to visit New England.

Stops include the Bennington VT museum and the original Dear Jane quilt!!!!

Also, the textile museum in Lowell, MA. I'm sure we'll find a quilt shop or 2 along the way. My DH will have plenty of light houses to photograph, so he'll be happy too.
