Oh, my, the pressure is on now--my Australian friend, that was here visiting the end of August, is planning on coming back in 2010 for another visit, but when the Houston show is on, and she insists that I get cracking and whip up a quilt to go in the show while she's here! Eeek!
Pat in Rockport, TX, who is thinking of putting out a challenge to our members to send in entries to Houston and Paducah and all the other wonderful shows around the country. There are so many wonderful quilts in our quilt gallery here!

Sherry, if you can make it at the last minute go ahead and come. I'm sure that we will have room for one more!
I'm making a list and it's not too late to get on it for the dinner!
Counting down the hours...leave on Monday morning for Houston!!!
Can't wait to see you all there!Happy Quilting,

Wanda, how big is the list so far?
Sherry, sure hope we get to meet!
Now, Pat, I wouldn't have the slightest idea how to go about entering a quilt in a show! Honestly, I've never done it, and I don't even know how it works. I know you must have to send pictures or something because you don't send the quilt until you know you are in - right?
Maybe that's a topic for more than just me. :?

Thanks, Wanda. I'd really love to come, so maybe by that time I'll have a better feel how much time I need to spend in my SIL's booth, if I can find my way back to the hotel (my SIL said I can drive her car if needed), etc. I've turned into such a country bumpkin - no stoplights within 35 miles of my house - so the thought of driving in city traffic is a bit overwhelming. Hard to believe I used to be a city dweller.
I will be looking for every opportunity I can to meet everyone! And I can't wait to see what next year's BOM looks like!!! I'm starting to get excited about the trip!

One more day of "work" and my sister and I will be on our way -- I am over the top excited! Hoping to meet all attending!

I can't wait to see all of you. I've had to change the reservations at Josephine's to 7 pm on Friday. We have 7-8 on our list. I've sent an email to everyone on my list. There is still time to be added, let me know soon. I leave for Houston tomorrow morning.

I am driving over with a friend on Friday after work from San Antonio and I won't get in early enough to make the dinner Friday night. But I look forward to meeting folks at the TQS booth Saturday or Sunday at 1pm. We had such a good time at the show last year. I am looking forward to it.

Almost ready to go, decorating my badge to applique to my purse, dropping off my sewing machine for clean and service while I"m gone then off to pack a few items for the trip.
It'll be a busy day but at least I'm on vacation all week. I can take a cat nap today if needed.
See you in a few days!
