"Rhapsody in the Garden" wins Viewer's Choice Blue

Jeannette Larson's (screenname "Marbles") Rhapsody quilt won the Viewer's Choice Blue Ribbon in the wall quilt category at the Thimble & Thread Quilt Guild of St. Louis 2009 Quilt Expo held on March 20-22. She started her quilt along with Ricky's TQS Rhapsody classes. Being anxious to complete the quilt for our guild's quilt show, Jeannette had to get Ricky's book to learn how to finish it. Check it out on her profile community/my-profile/marbles Look closely for the bugs--credit to Suzanne Marshall's book, "Take Away Applique".

While there, also check out her "Butchy Boy" cat quilt that also is a winner. It received a red ribbon in the mini quilt category.

    Congratulations, Jeannette! Way to go!

Hey Thanks NancyinSTL and the others for your congratulations here. Yeah, I was very surprised and happy about getting those ribbons. I guess I was so busy working the quilt show, that I didn't even realize they were doing a Viewer's Choice award, so when people told me I needed to go look at my quilts, I didn't know what to expect. It was a fun weekend overall!

p.s. if you have the chance to volunteer yourself at a local quilt show,,,,do it!,,,,you meet lots of interesting people, see some beautiful quilts, and have a ton of fun-while-you-work!
