Well, that homeycomb centre is slightly malty in flavour, hence 'Malthesers'.

I've been shopping tonight and picked up some Malthesers. So, I'll send a pack to the first three who say 'Yes, please' here.

Don't put your snail mail address in your message. Send that to me direct via the message link in my profile.

Ann got in first, so one of the bags of Malthesers is hers. Just two more looking for a home now.

            Good morning!

First, let me apologize to Justin for highjacking his special place in order to spread a little joy with the help of Malthesers.

So, the lucky ones are: Ann, Dana, Patti, and Wanda. Yes, I know, that's four, and I CAN count up to four, even though I work in special needs. Giggle....... I'll just have to get another bag. They'll be posted on Monday. Airmail from the UK can take anything between 3 days and 10 days. I have Ann's snail mail address. Please, Dana, Patti, and Wanda, let me have yours ( mailto:[email protected] )

I think our Malt Balls or Whoppers are the American version of these delicious sounding candy. I love Malt Balls and I won't tell on you all on the Fit and Trim Forum.

I think you are right. It does sound like they are describing Whoppers. Yummy. Those who get them will have to tell us if that is correct. Lorna

Whoppers sort of equal Maltesers... but Maltesers are sooooooo much better YUM!!

Our specialty grocery stores around here sell UK candy so periodically, DH will bring me home a box or two.

Well, ain't y'all the lucky 4??????? Lorchen, you're so "sweet" to treat these 4 Yanks to the Malthesers. Gals, you're going to love 'em. Yes, they are very much like Whoppers; but I agree that Whoppers are not quite as good. But I've got to warn you, too many and you'll start talking the Queens English, Cockney, Kettering, Corby, or even Scouser. So be warned Ann, Dana, Patti, and Wanda, you're families may not know who's cooking dinner the night you receive them in the post. Who know's, you might even find yourself preparing summer pudding for desert.

Love you Lorchen; thanks for bringing back fond memories from my 6 week trip England, Scotland, and Wales.

Well, Justin, now won't that just be something to hear if I start talking like that?

Thanks Lorchen, you're so sweet......and I'm so excited!

The pleasure is all mine. But I still need Wanda and Dana snail mail addresses, because if I send these Malthesers 'c/o Justin' I doubt they'll reach you.
