    Hello Barbara, I haven't heard nor noticed a stabilizer mentioned in the instructions. I have done wool embroidery but have not embroidered on a quilt top and am thinking some type of lightweight stabilizer should be used. Am I correct? Thank you for all you do to help we quilters. God bless

      There is no need for stabilizer in my opinion. Alex told me using a hoop will be sufficient to keep the stitches flat. Think about all the pillowcases that have been embroidered--they didn't have stabilizer on them.

      I did not use a stabilizer, nor a hoop. Just be cognizant of the tension of your stitches.
