Latest News from the UK / not quilt related but special :)

After over 40 hours in labour, my first grandchild was delivered with the help of forceps on the 21st at 5.51am. My son and I were with Kerri the whole time. Little Eva Christine weighed in at 7 pounds and 9 ounces and is (of course) gorgeous. I'm now back home, exhausted, but I'll hopefully be fine for work in the morning.

I hope the links to two pictures will work. The first one was taken when Eva was just 2 hours old and the second one 9 hours later.

This Oma here can't stop grinning!

Ooops..... I apologize for the size of the pictures. I haven't got a clue how to reduce them in size. Ah well........ Nothing in life is perfect (except little Eva, of course)!

How lovely to share this with us, and how gorgeous is she and what a joy it is, although we are looking forward to our fourth granddaughter end of September its still a wonderful day for you isn’t it, wishing you wonderful days ahead spending time with her and the inspiration that will come your way because of it.

Thank you very much everybody for the good wishes. At the moment Eva is covered with a small blanket I crochet for her from bamboo yarn. It very, very soft and light. Her first quilt is waiting for her at home. I'm sure that the little wand-waving fairies in the centre of every block will bring Eva luck.
