Brilliant idea! That would probably be an easier way to do things, - hey ho, off to change the first post again I go....

I had to go back a few pages to find Patti, but find her I did. Some of us are rather intense about hoping on stuff like this fast. I'd be happy to swap with Patti but I might have to put some of the rest of you down a notch on my list. I'll get to you eventually.

As for me, I'm happy just to send you a mug rug, and if you don't have the time/fancy or inclination, I don't need one back from you. ( Except those who have written to say they're in with me. ) Even still, this is a 'do it your own style swap'. So do it your own style.

Anyone else want a mug rug from Ireland? I would probably have to make June the deadline though. :? Lisa thanks for the link to all those gorgeous little mug rugs, they tipped me over the edge. I think I could probably manage six or eight.

Lisa I hope the surgery goes well. It can't be fun being restricted by your own body. How long do they say it will take to recover?
Hi Rita, I'm new too, so I'm thinking of myself as a "Lounge Larva" to borrow the term I would love to swap with you, but I don't know for sure that I'll be up to rotary cutting and sitting at the sewing machine in June! I also think I'd have to limit myself to 6 or 8 as well. I have 4 willing "swappers" already!

Hmmm, Thanks for asking. Dr. Jeffrey Roh's staff say 6 to 12 months for recovery. It would be longer, but he does minimally invasive surgery, so you don't have to wait for muscles to reattach or a really long scar to heal. They do not start physical therapy until 30 days after the surgery, which would have me starting PT sometime in June. I hope to be healed enough to fly to NYC in September to meet my Italian friend and her Mom there, but would have to arrange wheelchair (that helps you get other assistance, not that I need a wheelchair per se, but I cannot lift or pull things) and ask people to wrangle my luggage for me. On the good side... doing this now means that I may be capable of hiking the 1,000 foot elevation trail to Rattlesnake Ridge in September of 2014, when my Italian friends are coming with their daughter, to stay with us! Follow the photos to the end, to see a bit of the views from way up top!

Wow Lisa, that's some climb you are planning! But it looks like you have a different mountain to climb before then. Good luck with the surgery and recovery. At least you will have lots of TQS shows to keep you company. As well as all of us lounge lizards with our nattering on about this and that....and occasionally something to do with quilting.

Well, I go out for a terrific meal and a visit to a large quilting group (guild) and when I come back 3 1/2 more pages have been added. After all that eating and talking I will have to wait until tomorrow to go through them all and see what more entertainment has been added. Goodnight everyone.

                  Beautiful crocuses, Lisa.
Take advantage of that wheelchair option when you're traveling. When I had broken my foot I had to go on a business trip while I was still not allowed to put any weight on it, that wheelchair assistance at the airport was certainly a great help... And people actually go out of their way to help, instead of just giving you an impatient look and trying to hurry you along or out of their way!

 Hi Rita, yep, several mountains to climb

I did actually complete that hike to Rattlesnake Ridge about 4 years ago. My back was killing me at the end, but I had been doing an intensive fitness/nutrition/diet thing at our health club and had dropped 50 pounds in that year and a half! So I absolutely had to do this "famous" hike and see the vertigo-inducing view. It was worth it, but I could not do it now. 50 is too young to be on-the-shelf, I think!

Thanks Terry! And yes, Lotti, that was my thinking regarding the wheelchair in the airport idea.

I'm really enjoying this distraction from not being allowed to eat solid food from 10am this morning until late tomorrow afternoon. Medical procedure tomorrow, nuff said Thanks for all the fun posts everybody!

Renata, you are on!! What would you like from ol' England?

If Wendy had not posted the link somewhere else, I would have missed this altogether.

I'm in for three more if anybody wants me to get busy (the baby quilts will just have to wait).
