I've been lucky and found a flight on TQS airways that only takes 6 hrs to get to Phoenix and no stops. I'm travelling first class and the hostess are all tall dark and handsome. Not only that but the inflight movies are series one shows.
Ricky and Alex will be handing out the duty free, I'm hoping they'll have some trimmings for our mug rugs.Even thinking of the lovely warm weather is a boost to the system. I hate winter in this country especially this cold Siberia/Artic weather & winds that is coming in at the moment
they should keep them to themselves and not be so sharing
Roll on summer which hopefully we will get this year :!: :!: .

You will have to make a stop off at Kerry airport to pick me up too. I will bring some Baileys and a small cheili band for the music. I have them stored in my magically reduced handbag - it's best to only let them out when they are to play otherwise they go a bit wild! I am really looking forward to this flight. Who will be our Flight Simulator? ( I better not tell DH or he will want to fly the plane as he got the pedals and steering wheel for his birthday this year.)

). I'll probably be bringing my thimbles to work on as well as my mug rugs
Fortunately the cyclops head pinata for Izzy'a birthday party, is nearly finished, so I won't need to bring it with me.
She decided on a 'Percy Jackson & the Lightening Thief' theme this year - basically the old greek gods have moved to America and it is business as usual for them, with Mount Olympus being accessed via the Empress State Building. And you can get to Hades via Los Angeles  Actuallly they are decent books fro reading, even for adults...

I have seen them for sale in Asda's - usually a multicoloured donkey, they are made from corrigated cardboard and are really hard work to destroy (Mine are pretty tricky to destroy, because they are so soft, they really need to be brittle. Still it makes the game last longe)
This is the first one I madeabout 5-6 years ago, and still the all time favourite 8)
And the best thing about this one - I didn't have to clear up any of the pieces after the party (except a few bits of tissue paper) the kids all decided that they need to take a piece of dragon home with them   8)Lotti, Kuessnacht - Switzerland

Rosemary, love your piñatas--you are so creative and resourceful... lucky birthday girl!
Nancy, you're kind of quiet this morning... cat got your tongue or Chinese Whispers blowing you away? would love to be a fly on your wall...
Five inches of snow here yesterday, half melted away by yesterday afternoon... today, blinding sunshine, gorgeous blue skies but still freezing cold (expecting 50 degrees F (10 C) by the end of the week). Wonder if we're going to skip spring and go straight to summer? Hope not :!:

Renata, that sounds like here. I snowed for 2 and a half days, but luckly it was was enough that most of it melted. Near St. Louis, the got over a foot of snow. It is supposed to get to 40 today, and in the 60's by the weekend. I am so glad of that. My DS and wife are coming from upper Michigan, and I promised him some 60 degree weather. He has 3 feet, (yes, 3 feet) of snow all over his farm. My daffodils are partly covered, but they do well with alittle snow. The forsythia bush is starting to bloom too. Just need alittle warmer weather. I think we will probably jump right into summer too. Now I have to get my heavy coat on and pick up DGS from preschool.

No-can-do on the party video - with up to 8 small girls 'enjoying' themselves at the top of their voices and usually only 1 other helper (not DH... he gets out asap  for the duration!) I have never managed to have the spare pair of hands required. However we always have pass the parcel (usually 20-25+ layers - one year we took 2 sittings to get to the middle  ) hunt the thimble, and a little crafting thing they make (for the last 3 years) and the tea always finishes with a blackcurrent jelly rabbit sitting in a green fizzy jelly field. The jelly mould comes from my mother and it was always used for birthday parties for myself & my brother & sister. Other things vary a bit from year to year, but I would be in trouble with the birthday girl if any of the above got omitted.
