She's adamant the quilts aren't at her house The person who helped her take them all down saw them at the church and left her waiting for her son to arrive with his car. I'm trying to get access to the church which is up for sale and people have been told to leave a donation for anything they want to take.

Feel so bad for one lady who made an amazing double bed quilt with blue Japanese fabrics, hand quilted and took a year. The other lady's were two cot quilts which were going to be gifts and the first she has made.

Thanks for your thoughts I've not given up hope yet.

Thanks I'm meeting her in the morning and we'll work a time line of what happened but it's 16 days ago and we only realised last night. I'm going through the church with a tooth comb tomorrow and hopefully her house then I guess it's the police but if it comes to that I don't hold up much hope.

Wendy, I do hope the quilts find their way into your hands and those of the other owners--hopefully, it is just a case of quilts getting caught up with other quilts and that someone may have it and not know it, especially if it's wrapped up or rolled up with another quilt. I wish you well in your search and hope we will hear good news and sigh of relief!

Oh no! Do I understand that the church is letting people in to take what they want for a donation? If that is the case--who knows who might have them. Can you put an ad in a local newspaper?

Panic over just got a phone call from the lady who took them she'd found them in a case in her garage!
