Have a wonderful, productive trip, Lotti! I lived in downtown Chicago for years and miss it a lot. The Field Museum, Art Institute, Adler Planetarium etc. were weekend hang outs! I've never been to Hong Kong (or Zurich either, for that matter) but it all sounds exciting!

Had company and the flu the past couple of weeks, and haven't received any updates on the forum during that time so figured it was time to catch upGood grief, ladies, pages and pages of great ideas and happenings. Congratulations on the birth of the new baby girl, and upcoming baby boy (booties are SO cute).
Rita and Rosemary--you two are doing in my 3 days of aerobics--just hope the exercise evens out what I'm about to bake and eat. I, too, cannot stand anything that is sour, including anything that has to do with rhubarb...don't know why, just doesn't sit well in my mouth so out it comes. Very glad for King Arthur Flour too. Am finally finding just the white and wheat flours in the grocery here in AZ so order from them online sometimes. Need to go to that room that came with the house and heat some soup--flu hasn't gone entirely and that's the only thing that even sounds reasonable.
Thank you, ladies, for this wonderful forum. Can't read anymore from Rita or Rosemary and they make me laugh which is bringing on coughing fits and tears running down my face:roll:

I made Rita's Irish Tea Brack Saturday morning (soaked the raisins Friday night). My DH who is trying to watch what he eats (kind of like see food - what ever he sees he eats   ) told me that I have to give this brack away to our sons because it is soooooo good. My one son actually said if dad says it is good it is probably not good but he just wants us to eat it. I said NO that he wants you to eat it so HE doesn't. Truly it is really good. Thanks again for the recipe.
Not sure who it was a few posts back said they were not a part of the exchange, but wanted to respond------well the more the merrier. Glad you joined the chatter even if you aren't part of the exchange. Happy to hear from you

Aw Lotti, doesn't sound like you will have any time to slide down to Cincinnati Ohio. A friend and I are going to the quilt show there April 13 - 15. We are from Pennsylvania, but have been to Nashville, Paducah, Houston and several others on the east coast. We are also trying the one in Cincinnati this year. Anybody else going to Cincinnati???? Let me know and maybe we can meet up at some point. We are arriving Noon time on April 12 and leaving morning April 16.

Still don't know what to do with my spools. Finally took the papers off my HSTs after writing names and locations on the front--kind of like a friendship signature quilt would have, and ironed them all. Think I want to combine them into one quilt but need to figure the layout. I sure do enjoy these exchanges
