There once was a quilter called Nella,

      Of the importance of stash,
Not to hoard all his cash,
Especially if he wanted any dinna!

Soon to be a quilt - so cozy!

I like the optimism - I've only just got started on quilting a top I started in 2008  although I am hoping to be a bit faster in putting my Sottts quilt together

Still at least that is going faster than an Old English type Smock I've had on the go for 30 years 8) (I keep getting sidetracked  )

There once was a quilter named Lynn
                    Who's stash was surprisingly thin,
                    She hurried to the store,
                    To buy a bit more,
You can recognize her now by her grin! 8)

There once was a sewer named Posy
Who began a quilt to be cosy
It's taking a long time to quilt it
                      A distraction came , she''ll admit it,
She invented a game called ""send me your stuff"
From around the globe, it won't be enough!""
I hope she returns it before her quilt's done
Or else, she'll have another project undone
                      Beside that, I am sure
                      There'll be quite a shout
From all of us who sent our strips out!

I am reading the limericks and you guys are not only great quilters you are fantastic poets. Okay, so you have sparked my creative juices. So let's give this a try....

There once was a quilter named PosyP, Lorna, Lynn, Rita, Isabell, and Carol,
They met on this fantastic site called The Quilt Show, wearing their fine apparel,
The fabric started flying and scraps began to fill the trash barrel.
Oh my, we can't waste those scraps. What shall we do... What a peril...
Then, Posyp and Lorna came to the rescue, they pulled the scraps out of the barrel,
Went to work and started to sing a happy carroll.
They came up with this wonderful friendship spool exchange and no more peril.
Oh the fun, and friendships. Let those reels start to roll.

My rhyming and jingle abilities are nil, so asked my dear husband for help--here's what he came up with:

There once was a quilter named Jane
Whose quilts were know for their fame
                                She quilted a lot
                                Her body was hot
And her hubby just won't be the same

Yes, he loves me a bunch and exaggerates like crazy ops:
