Thanks for all your hard work.. I vote yes for Alex to sign on the material. It is really cold in East Texas today so it is a good day to sew triangles. In the Teens outside and not to get warmer for several days. So, you know where I will be.

Edyta is on board since the beginning I believe. What a great exchange.

This is very exciting news...Alex Anderson is joining our exchange. She will be making enough HST's so there will be one for each member.

She said she would write "Alex' on each of the triangles, on the fabric rather than on the paper, but she would like to know if that's OK with everyone.

Hmmmm...I can't imagine we're going to have anyone say 'NO'  , but she's leaving it up to you!! What do you say???

I say Welcome, Alex and sign away!!!

Fantastic!!! I would love to see Alex's signature on our Traveling Triangles - front or back. So now we have Alex and Edyta joining the Sisterhood. How fun is that! Hopefully, Ricky will add to the Brotherhood...

I have to echo everyone's praises to all Debbie, Clara, and everyone else who has signed up to do the bulk of the arranging, sorting and distributing. You ladies are the best for handling all of this - and with such grace. Thank you!

I have a question about thread choices. I typically use Mettler Silk Finish - 50 wt thread for piecing, primarily because it's what the quilt shop on our little island sells. I have used Superior's Masterpiece thread - 50 wt for hand quilting, but have not used it in my machine for piecing.

So my question is, does anyone know if there is a quality difference between the two? If Masterpiece is the better choice, would it be best to wait to sew my triangles until I have this thread in hand?

I just want to ensure I send the best HSTs I can make.

Great News I remember Edyta saying she would be doing her triangles while on the cruise. Signing the fabric would be wonderful but whatever is easiest. If it is on the paper I will scan and print on fabric. What a ride. Joan

Ann, I switched from Mettler thread to Masterpiece a few years ago. I use Masterpiece thread for all my machine piecing. I find it to be a little finer thread than Mettler, even though they are both 50 wt. Masterpiece has much less lint than Mettler too. It is the only thread I use for piecing now. I love it.

Are you kidding? Of course it's okay to have Alex sign the front of the triangle! So happy she's participating!

Oh how exciting. I will get to see Ricky singing in Puyullup, WA this March 5th at the Sewing Expo there. I would love for them to sign the fabric, then there is more of a story to the quilt. Thank you Alex, Ricky, and Edyta.
