The 'powers  that be at TQS' have said they will create a slide show for the SoTTT's exchange and for the other two exchanges that are going on now, Sensational Strippers and Batiks-R-Us, if we send them the photography...so we will be doing that !

That might be possible with all the photos. I can't promise a video, but I'm going to try. Photos. I love taking them. Clara

I am ready to mail my HSTs. I can't find the post for labeling the bags for the extras. Is it for Hanna-Grete, Queensland, and Christchurch? :?

You got it. And soon they will get it too! Thanks. Clara

P.S. A reminder for all. If you are looking for guidelines to this project look on page 1 of this thread and you will find several sections that breakdown the information you need.

            Sandy:

I hope you made it to the hospital in time. Now I guess you have another reason for making a HST quilt but of course a true quilter doesn't need a reason to make quilts or buy more fabric.

Here's an update on Sandy's new grandson that she sent me yesterday:

Hi Deb, he was born today at 12:38 and weighed in at 7lb 14 1/2oz and is very healthy. What a true gift from God
to be able to hold this little child.

Sandy...you need to upload a picture to the Forum of you and that precious little boy. Hmmmmm...should we send her all blue HST's in the exchange????

                :!: :!: MAY I HAVE YOUR ATTTENTION PLEASE :!: :!:

Based on a package I received today, I wanted to reiterate the importance of making sure your mailing envelope is securely closed and taped shut. This package was an International package that contained 616 HSTs...by the time it arrived at my P.O. Box, the envelope had opened completely and two packages (56 in each) had been lost  somewhere during the delivery process. Since it was wide open, it was fortunate that not more than two packages had fallen out. THE SENDER OF THIS PACKAGE HAS ALREADY BEEN NOTIFIED, SO IF YOU DIDN'T RECEIVE AN EMAIL FROM ME, THEN IT WASN'T YOUR PACKAGE  !

So, please, don't trust the sealing system on whatever type envelope you might be using...just tape, tape, and triple tape. Also, use nylon or packing tape rather than just Scotch tape. An envelope from yesterday had that Invisible Scotch Tape on it and it had not sealed at at all, but fortunately the sticky on the envelope came through.

Another reminder for International members, do not send me an addressed envelope...only send an address label (or two if you will receive more than one small Flat Rate box). We cannot use those envelopes in the return process so it will eventually be recycled  . It is also very important that you correctly estimate how many flat rate boxes will be needed and charge that amount to PayPal. The information on how many HST's fit into a flat rate box is written in the 2nd post on the 1st page of this Forum.

You will also need to include a copy of your PayPal receipt in your envelope so I will know your return postage has been taken care of.

We've been very fortunate up to now with packages that have opened or torn during shipping, that no HST's have gone missing. This is supposed to be a lot of fun for all of us, but it's no fun if someone has to be notified that there package arrived incomplete.

Thank you for help in making sure your packages are closed securely...

                Debbie

I put mine in a flat rate envelope at the post office and I mentioned that maybe I needed to add tape and she said "no no it is fine". It better be. They are pretty strong but it was also pretty tight. Well we will see. Keeping my fingers crossed.

The flat rate envelopes have actually been doing fine and the glue on those are very, very strong...sometimes I even have trouble getting them open! It's the manila and paper ones that have had the problems. I don't want to worry people unnecessarily, but I'd rather we all be safe than sorry.
