Making mat with old cloth materials

Hi there,
Last day when I was searching for some quilting ideas, I found an article (https://www.junk-works.ca/locations/...for-upcycling/ ) that mentioned some tips on upcycling. I have some unused materials at home and I am thinking about reusing them. I have decided to make a comfortable bedroom mat with all the old cloth materials woven together to form a check pattern like the one in this image .
I have never really tried it before and I hope that it is easy to make.

That mat looks fun and pretty straight forward to make. It would also be a good place to use up any 'ugly' fabrics (if you have any

) to make them look beautiful.

It looks pretty good! I have recently been taking up sewing. I rather focus on sewing dresses. If you need good quality materials, I recommend this online store: https://ctnbee.com/en. A large selection of good quality materials. See you can create new patterns on fabrics.
