Fabric for 2009 BOM

I have completed piecing my Stars for a New Day using the kit.
It was definitely an advanced pieced quilt but the paper piecing techniques helped use the fabrics carefully.

I had some a little fabric of each pattern left but not much of the background fabric. Wish I could get some more of that one.

By using the kit I think I actually didn't waste as much fabric as I
would have trying to manage so many choices with scraps or new
purchases.

Very enjoyable project and very proud to have it done!

I haven't posted in a while but I did almost finish my quilt. I actually did finish but decided to add two more borders.

Plan on adding 9 patch blocks on point so I bought some complimentary fabric for the setting triangles. I think I have enough left over from the kit for the white background and scraps for the small prints, but I did find some similar tone in background in case I need it.

I have an appt for with my long arm quilter next weds so I have my work cut out for me.

If you haven't started, don't be overwhelmed, on step at a time and you'll make it. It's is a stunning quilt. I'm very proud. I'm very thankful I purchased the kit, it was well worth it.
