    Who knew????

    Hi everyone -

I just spent a while "cruising" through the BOM show and tell. Oh my gosh -- WHO KNEW there were so many wonderful color options for these blocks? It blows my mind! I hope you are all having a lot of fun with these blocks -- when you finally get to put them together, and the quilt starts taking shape again, I think you will be surprised at how lovely all these scrappy blocks look together. I can hardly wait to see the postings then! Keep up the good work, everyone. So far, I have not seen any of you daunted by the challenge of these thousands of pieces (has anyone counted them yet?!). You are all awesome!

By the way - I know it's early, but have you all thought about coming to Houston for the International Quilting Association show in mid-October? It is a quiltmaker's heaven... bring a full wallet, comfy shoes, endless energy... and you will see and learn more than you ever have before at a quilt show. TQS will have a booth and Alex and Ricky and their crew will be there, along with the Superior Thread group. And I'll be there, too! It would be fun to see some of you there. You can check out the show and the class schedule, with sign-ups starting soon, at http://www.quilts.com/home/shows/vie...e=FallFestival

    Happy sewing -
    Sue Garman

I've never been to Quilt Festival and have been trying to make it there for 5 years now. I'm hoping this will be the year. We're having some of that heat here too.

Hi Sue: I'll be at the IQF, I live in Spring, TX so it's just a bus ride to get there. So far the temp here is 101, yikes, but it could go higher still. I'm caught up with the current BOM, am not posting the blocks since I purchased the fabulous kit at last year's IQF. I've been having a lot of fun with it so far, your instructions are so clear that it's hard to screw up even if I wanted to  See you in October then, Heidi

Hi, Sue. I will be coming to IQF this year with two quilting friends. This is my first time to come to the show. I am so excited. I hope to see some of the BOM friends. They are all so supportive.

This is also the first time I have ever made a block of the month quilt. Your instructions are just great. I have learned so much and it is just wonderful watching everyones quilt come together. They are just beautiful.

                        Happy Quilting,
                        Paula in Arkansas
