Hi Krista, welcome to the group, it's great to have you on board with the rest of the BOMer's. Looked at your quilts, machine trapunto, hmmmm, seems pretty hard to me, not quite ready for that yet. Can't wait to see your feathered star block. Heidi, Spring, TX

Hi! I'm glad you are a part of TQS!

I am going to do the BOM but just ordered my fabric so I'll have to wait a bit.

You have darling children and your quilts are outstanding!

Welcome Krista. I agree-your trapunto is beautiful. I took a class last year and enjoyed it however I haven't yet completed a piece incorporating it. Maybe this year? I am very new here also and as you will see everyone at TQS is so nice and helpful to us new gals. Enjoy! Karen in Nev.

Krista I've been enjoying the quilts you posted this week. You are a phenomenal quilter. I love how fine your stitching designs came out. Beautiful. Max and his quilt are too cute and who would have thought at his age he could do it!

I am also new to the forum and am so excited about the beautiful feathered star medallion quilt. I don't know if this is the appropriate place for this question - if not please let me know where to post it.
I think it would be very helpful to have a black and white diagram of the entire quilt so that we could try out different colors and fabric placement - like a coloring book. I don't have EQ6 so can't do it that way.
Short of getting out some graph paper and trying to figure out all the dimesnsions etc. is it possible for that to be included in our instructions.
Who is the person I should address this question to - Sue Garman? Alex?
I am really enjoying all the posts in the forum and seeing all the finished blocks in Show and Tell.
                      Thanks
                      Judy E

Welcome Judy! Ask and ye shall receive! If you will send me a personal e-mail (just click on my photo on the left and send it through my profile page) I will be glad to send you an attachment for a blank EQ print-out. It is not exactly Sue's quilt, but certainly close enough to play with the colors! (You can click on it here to see it in a larger scale)

And since you are new, and want to do the BOM, you may not be aware that I'm posting tutorials with pictures to supplement Sue's wonderful directions. I offer some alternative methods to try and hope that everyone can find a technique works for them. Check it out here:

Thanks for the welcome - I feel at home already. And thanks for the warning about it becoming an addiction - it's one I look forward to.
Thanks Marge for the diagram - I know it will be a great help. I have started to watch your tutorials - I have done a minimal amount of paper piecing and most of that the sew on the top kind from my friend Lynn Graves of Little Foot in Chama New Mexico.
I am so new to forums in general you might not hear a lot from me at first as I get more acquainted with the entimre community but know that I really appreciate the welcome and knowledge shared by all the members.
