How many BOMettes at Quilt Festival 2008?

Just curious as to how many of you will be at Quilt Festival 2008?

Since I live in Houston, I was thinking........

Wouldn't it be fun to find a time for all of us to have a cup of coffee together or something - either outside somewhere - or even at the lunchroom area at Festival?

Let's see how many can say they think they are coming?

    Lynn

Hi Lynn: I'll definitely will be there, probably won't take any classes this year, but I'll go to the preview Wednesday night, and will be there all day Thursday and Friday, Heidi

Well, if I'm counting right that's 2 of us!

I'll be there. I'm hoping that the quilt shop in Corpus Christi will have enough folks sign up for their two-night three-day bus trip (leaves early Friday, gets back Sunday evening), but if not, will drive up and maybe stay at my niece's place in Sugarland. I dread that drive in to downtown every day, though.

I will definitely be at the Houston quilt show! Do you all think we could manage to find each other on Friday or Saturday around lunch time? It would be fun to meet and greet each other!

I haven't started my BOM yet and not sure when I'll get to it. But I would love to meet any TQS members that are there. My sister-in-law has a new business making iron quilt hangers (http://www.summerskycreations.com) and is going to have a booth there. So I am flying in to help her work her booth. I've never been to the show before, so am really excited about seeing everything! And sure hope to meet a lot of you who will be there!

I think Sue's idea is great. One of us could get to the lunch area early Saturday and grab a table, and wear something distinctive and easy to see from a distance. I have a pieced jacket that's pretty gaudy. I call it my circus pony jacket, LOL. Oooops, did I just volunteer to get there early?

Sounding great. We'd all love to meet Sue and thank her in person, I'm sure!

We'll see how this develops. Might need more than ONE table before we are finished!

Thanks Lynn for the great suggestion, seems we'll have us a "crowd", as you said, perhaps we will need more than one table, or we could put a few smaller tables together and sit outside on the 3rd floor patio, weather permitting of course, Heidi

Boy, I'm green with envy. My daughter and I went to the Houston show in 2005 and 2006. I sure would love to meet you all, but it's impossible at this time. Maybe in LaVeta next fall???

It's unlikely that I'll ever make it to LaVeta, but Houston is only 3 hours away, which in Texas is just about next door, LOL.

Oh boy after being on medical leave for almost half a year, I thought it's a given that I wouldn't make it to Houston. But I sure would like to meet you all and especially you Sue for lunch. How fun.

I've received my confirmation for my classes. I'll be in Houston Tue-Sun. I am taking Ricky's class on Thur and Fri, So lunch or dinner Fri will work with my schedule.

I'm also taking an applique class with Sue in Sept! Can't wait.

Pat, maybe we could all carpool to La Veta!
