thanks for the kind words and encouragement Sue! I'm thinking I need to try the EQ6 idea & begin to see how it'll be w/ sashing, etc.

I finished my block tonight and just posted it. Tina finished radiation yesterday - hooray! They are leaving for Disney World on Monday - a much needed and deserved vacation. She's had another mass removed since last month - not cancerous - thank you for the prayers!

I'm so glad to hear about Tina! I hope she has a wonderful vacation. Perhaps she can say hello to my son and his family who are there, celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary! Small world thing, I guess (no pun intended...) BTW, your blocks look great! So creative, so dramatic.

Florence, your blocks are so great with the brown background! I love all the different looks.

Stichnstrokes, being a cancer survivor (although I prefer to think of myself as a cancer warrior, having fought the beast and lived to tell the tale) I understand about the crazy range of emotions. You and your family are in my prayers.

Thanks everybody! I hope to donate the quilt to the cancer center when it's finished. I like the term "cancer warrior" too for my dil because she's definately been a fighter! Sorry my signature didn't show up on the post. I thought it did that automatically.

Oh Cathy this BOM has been such a special project for us all that giving it away I know is not easy. But I had a feeling you might be doing that. I hope the story of the journey and the meaning of each block's fabric/color choices is going with it. What a treasure.

Randi, your June block came out beautiful! I noticed how straight it all came out - no leaning or having the vase in a funny spot! Guess you know who's had trouble with that, lol! Good work; colors look great. Linda

I love looking at everyone's cool blocks with their wonderful fabric choices! I am always in search of the "right" fabric to really show off the vase/basket and I also try to make sure enough contrast is there so seeing the flower & berry features aren't too difficult. You guys really "ROCK"!!
