Nancy I can't believe what a difference that embroidery made. I wouldn't have thought it would show up so much. The block is very pretty.

Lori, Nancy and Bridget--BEAUTIFUL blocks!!! Nancy, the embroidery gives your lighter stems/leaves such definition.

          It's really cute.

I will be doing the fuse and raw edge applique. I'm almost done Jan and Feb is done. Will start the March one this weekend.

My background fabric - well money is tight and I just couldn't spend more $$ on fabric at this time so I took all my beige fabrics in my stash and cut 91/2 in squares and sewed 4 together to make a large 4 patch 2 light 2 dark, makes it a bit more interesting.

Will post pictures of Jan and Feb when done. Thankfully I do have a lot of cream/beige fabric, just not a big square of it. I did put all 12 blocks together and basted the edges on all of them so I have been busy with that portion of it.

Isn't that what we originally started quilting with - leftovers... time to put them to good use.

Wow! that really made your block pop. I love how you added the stitch onto the leaves too. You might want to do this to more of your leaves.

Margo, you are a wizard. I love the March blocks. I plan to do more embroidering on Jan and Feb...not a lot, but some. I think it turned out o.k. on March and I have had such good feedback from all of you. The blocks are really fabulous from everyone.

Damaris, I love your March block! The way the patterns and color interact, I can almost see the rose vines swaying in the breeze! And is that breeze a beautiful spring breeze?

I finished my March block tonight. I haven't started stitching any of them down yet because I'm not sure how I want to do the raw edge yet or how to quilt the blocks.

I'm sorry I missed notes to some of you but all the blocks are fantastic! My mom had a heart attack Monday so I'm behind on everything in my life right now and my dil starts radiation on Wednesday so I'll be driving to appt's 5 days a week for 6 weeks.

Looking forward to April's block now!

Cathy...your block is beautiful, and is a beautiful way to deal with the emotions you are going through right now. We are so sorry to hear about your mom, and hope she has a full recovery. And also hope that your DIL gets through the radiation with minimal side effects.
Don't forget to take care of Cathy. There are a lot of people depending on you!
                              Sincerely,

Cathy, I'll say a prayer for your Mom and DIL. I know you are thankful for your quilting--it has been a real stress reliever for me over the years.
