Mandy I like that tracing idea too... what kind of marking tool are you using? I'm a little nervous about anything that's supposed to wash off, but other things I've tried so far are wearing off too easily... (of course, I've got dark fabric so that adds more trouble, but always looking for good ideas!!)

Florence, I got Fons and Porter's white lead for a mechanical pencil to try. I haven't used it for long yet but it makes a very fine line and seems to stay. Karen

I'm using a Mark-B-Gone marker for my marking, but I have been told you can use a #2 pencil LIGHTLY and it can be removed. See my blog on here where I wrote about the pencil remover recipe a friend gave me. It was basically 3 parts rubbing alcohol to 1 part water and a few drops of dish washing detergant that is NOT Dawn. She wets the marks then dips a toothbrush in it and gently scrubs the marks. I haven't had the chance to try it yet, but I saw the quilts she has done this way and there is not a single pencil mark to be seen.

I finished my Feb block! (Actually about a week ago, but forgot to post it. ops: ) Yes, I added the middle portion of the star logo. The space just seemed empty to me. I am auditioning fabrics for my March basket, but probably won't get started on it until after I return from a trip to Portland Oregon. I leave this Friday through next Wednesday. I have prepared a block from another needle turn project to take with me. Hopefully when I get back I can start March's BOM. Lorna

Lorna I like it w/ the star center, considered doing that myself! Has anyone else done that? This will just be such fun to see all the variations... intentional and not  when it's all done.
