    Getting closer to completion

When anyone asks, I'm saying this quilt is like a fine wine which gets better and better as it ages! And I'm sticken with it! :woohoo:

I am bouncing back and forth a bit but am closer to starting the last border. This weekend I decided to work on the four corner blocks so I could officially say I am "TO" the last border. LOL Creating my own version of the quilt has made it much harder but I am very satisfied with how it looks. I really want to get it DONE and off my design wall.

Thanks Wendy. It's been great fun coming up with substitute blocks to fit my Christmas theme version of the quilt. I felt like I drew hundreds of candle variations before I liked one. I was going for an olden look....like before electricity was available.

That's a great candlestick and love your idea of doing a Christmas quilt. I look forward to seeing the blocks all put together.

The Candlestick looks great. Keep going, the end is in sight. I completed the 2010 BOM in October. It would have taken longer but I had a deadline because I entered it in my guild's quilt show. Happy and sad to see it finished.

I'm working hard to finish her!

The picture is from my phone and doesn't look as good and it turned it sideways on me. Sorry. I'll post another picture after the last border is put on.

Wow, JoJo! So, I'm not the only one! I haven't started my basket row yet, but that's okay. I'm bouncing between that one, the Sedona Star, and the Hoffman Challenges. I tend to get bored, or have a short attention span, so do like to move from one project to another. I did have to look at all of my UFOs, and concluded it would take me seven years to complete them. I'll be in eighties by then. Guess I won't be starting any new BOMs!

Looking forward to seeing your Ruffled Roses quilt finished!

Yep...I tend to bounce too. I'm determined to get it off my design wall. I spent today cutting and cutting and cutting fabric for the swag border.

I'm afraid to look at all of my UFOs!

I can't wait to finish this one. It has been challenging and fun.

My goal for 2017 is to finish Ruffled Roses too--I'm up to the basket borders, all the pieces are sewn, now to assemble those baskets. Guild quilt show in October 2017 is my deadline.

I'm happy to hear I'm not the only one still working on her. Maybe 2017 will be the year many new Ruffled Roses will make their debut!
