I’m having the same issue with not enough fabric in the Print version of Game On for Block 2. Leafy Scrolll fabric was not sufficient for all pieces needed. There was not enough left over to piece Gray Blue with Dots. Granny’s Apron Blue had enough left to piece last 2 pieces however not enough to match pattern when joining the 3 pieces to make the last strips. Thank goodness for stash!

I am cutting my fabric and for the corner triangle and line 11 says cut 6 1/2 x 6 1/2 square. That wasn’t big enough for the triangle. Did I do something wrong?

Follow step 13 in the instructions. Cut the 6.5” squares in half. The long side is the edge that is sewn to the corner.
There are 6 pages of written, step by step instructions for Month 2. Be sure to read them.

Thanks Barbara, I thought I read the instructions carefully but missed that. Sorry

No problem. Glad it was a simple fix.

I know in the overall directions you told us not to cut strips, but this section seems like strip cutting might make sense. However, it will mean leftover bits like on the center points plus opposit edge piece totaling only 26 inches. How imperative is it not to cut the strip? Note: I have the solid kit.

Next, two suggestions. First, it would be helpful to include two things in the overall instructions. On the first page with cutting a picture of both solids and prints would be helpful. Second, a small version of the overall block with colors noted by a chart, for instance A is this solid and this print. The photo will go a long way to this but a line drawing matching the foundation would help too.

The long pieces can be cut from strips--there are multiple cuts of most fabric so figure out the best way to get sizes needed while conserving as much as possible.
Some people are using fat quarters--those pieces might be best cut from lengthwise grain rather than crosswise when the size--width and/or length, requires that.
While your suggestions are noted, the designer wrote this pattern at least a year ago while working on her Solids version. Later she added a Prints version. The Prints Kit fabrics do not match those Becky used, from her stash. The designer is not going back to provide such detailed information now.
My blogs show my steps and now I have the Prints kit so some of my photos will use those.
I recommend watching the Videos provided each month, carefully read the pattern, and make notes as needed to keep yourself organized.

I hope I am in the right place. I have the blocks made for month 2 but am surprised at how little fabric I have left of soft teal and sage. I cut piece by piece as suggested but I don't know if I even have enough left to do anything. I have looked in the Shop but don't really know what I am looking for. Is there an "Oops" bundle we can purchase of those fabrics that are really close? Maybe I can find it online somewhere. I hate the thought of worrying about enough material through the year. If I have to substitute, will be shorting other colors. Never had this problem with other kits. Thanks, and thanks for your tutorials.

Sharon, no need to worry. These two fabrics are not used again in the quilt. You had enough for month 2 and that's all you need.

I don't know if I am in the right place!

I have tried to figure out a way of getting enough Leafy Scroll for number 3 & 4. The size of the material I have is approx. 17x20 that is 340 sq. inches and the fabric I need is 500 sq. inches. Even if I was able to have no excess and did it perfect, I could NOT cut the pieces necessary. Last year I didn't have enough fabric and had to wait for the additional fabric necessary. That is why I was so late getting started this year. I have done other quits and until last year I didn't have any trouble having enough fabric. I am very disappointed that this has happen again! Is The Quilt Show again going to send the additional fabric necessary to do this part of the quilt and am I going to run into this problem again as we go through the rest of the year?

Is all of #3 and #4 need to be the same color?

I understand there will be an email about Leafy Scrolls to those who have the Print Kit.
In the sample I am making I substituted a white from my stash for the 3 and 4 pieces. I could have used other fat quarters from the Kit that are similar and made 2 sets of corners the same.
You should receive an email soon from customer service. I am sorry about this. I can assure you no one likes it when this happens. Every effort to be perfect is made as much as humanly possible.

I printed out one set of the template and made one corner; I checked the 1" square and everything was okay. Today, I printed out the additional 3 sets of templates and the 1" square is fine too, however, these 3 templates are smaller than the original one. I can't figure out why especially if the 1" square is 1". Can you tell me the what the measurement of the two 90 degree lengths should be?

      Here is a photo:

The 90 degree corners are 16” NOT including seam allowances.

I have the print kit and, like others, I found a fat quarter is not enough for the scroll fabric in step 3 and 4. However, I cut the pieces for 5 thru 8 individually with the grain of the fabric and found that I had plenty of fabric for both the gray with dots and granny's apron pieces. I liked the scroll fabric, so I bought some more on etsy.

Are there pictures of the 4 block 2 in solids anywhere? I would love to see a picture of each corner completed, please.
i am nervous working with the vellum so this is contributing to my sciddishness
I’m not sure which cut piece goes where on pattern.

On the main page of Game On! the first photo is the quilt made in the solids fabrics. Use it to see where each fabric goes.

Susan, You should not be worried about the vellum. Just don't use a hot iron on it, because it curls, use a roller or your finger
nail to crease the fabric over after sewing. If I remember right you have been around for a lot of the BOM's and should be
familiar with foundation paper piecing. If you are worried about getting the fabric in the correct spot, cut a small patch (1/2 inch) of fabric
and glue it to the sew side of the vellum next to the number. You will see it and know you have the correct piece in the correct
spot. The only confusing thing about FPP in my opinion is the mirror image factor. But if you put the fabric from the quilt picture on
the vellum you should be good. HelenW

Block2, I had to rip out all parts 1 thru 4. I miss read the directions and sewed on the dash line instead of the solid line. I also started with freezer paper. Big mistake. I am now using vellum, much better. This BOM is really making my 76 yo brain cells work. Lol
