Your finished quilt turned out beautiful ,Barbara. I am just starting to do the applique and the embroidery. I purchased the thread that was recommended for this project. While doing your embroidery, did you use the 12wt wonderfil thread? If so, did you double the thread and can you recommend a needle? I have very little experience in embroidery.

I wrote a blog about the embroidery here:
https://bbquiltmaker.blogspot.com/20...l-month-7.html
I did double the 12 wt Wonderfil and tried several needles to find a size I could easily thread.

Hi Barbara, I’m just wondering if the running stitch around the appliqué flowers stitched prior to quilting or is it part of the hand quilting?

Barbara: Somehow one of my blocks got moist on the applique and it color run into the white background fabric how do I go about taking the color out of the white?

I don’t know what to tell you. You might try a little Synthrapol in water in the sink or a Color Catcher sheet. Fabric bleeds are always a challenge. Perhaps someone else can give you some ideas.

Where might I view the supplemental video for month 2 where you shared your method of completing the borders with the double handle and half circle. I viewed it once, but now I can't find it. I've looked on you tube and facebook live and only see Month 2--not the supplemental. I have read your blog and even printed the instructions but the video was done so well and I'm a visual learner. It will really help to have it available to view again (and again).
Another question -- on your blog it appears you place the half circle on the 8 fans first then apply the background. I plan to use one fabric for the half circle and another two fabrics for the background -- would it work to apply the background first, sew up the middle then add the half circle? I paper pieced the fans so they should be the right size, but as I put them together, they seem to be off "grain" if that makes sense -- just not falling perfectly in place. I'd appreciate your thoughts on this. Working on curves is tedious and things can easily go wrong -- I know cut, press, or sew -- one must be off. Not sure which tho.

The supplemental video for month 2 is on the month 2 pattern page:

Yes, you can add the background and then the handle, no reason that won’t work.
