Barbara, What a wonderful way to inspire healthy living. It felt like I was reading your personal diary. Thank you because
it will help many a quilter. I have alway agonized that quilters, who are the nicest people in the world, were in most part
not the healthiest. Hours of sitting and stitching year after year can make it easy to not focus on the other important
things in life. Heath is so frustrating when you get 180 degree opinions by doctors and fitness professionals on what is
the best thing to do. Your explanation shows that it is not rocket science to move your body and eat healthy food.
I hope every quilter at TQS takes a look at both the way eat and how much movement they are getting. I have always
used the first hour and a half of the darkness in the morning to workout. Recumbent exercise bike and universal weight
machines in the basement. Like you, if I had to go to a gym it would not happen. I eat mostly plant based foods (fruits and
vegetables and lean proteins. I drink Orgain protein drinks (bought at Costco) with a bowl of have berries for breakfast most days.
Here is to a healthy year ahead for everyone. It is never to late to start.
You are such an inspiration. We are so lucky to have you as our forum leader.

Wow, Helen, thank you! You nailed it, why I am willing to share such personal information and even really bad photos, with the world. Your comment has touched my heart this morning. I appreciate it so.

Barbara, you are an inspiration! I am thankful for your openness and encouragement - so glad you are feeling better and on the quilting note, I would not be where I am as a quilter without you- your help on the BOM is so important and helpful.

Wow, thank you! It means so much to know this. I wasn’t sure I wanted to be so open about the very personal struggle with weight but I certainly know I am not alone in that journey.
