I've worked diligently on this quilt top since Jan '22 and the top is finally finished. This was my first time to attempt at needle turn applique. The only thing I regret is hand sewing the diamond boarders. It took MONTHS!!! lol Last night, I sewed the last four diamonds on the corners. Next week on my vacation, I'm headed to my local quilt shop to "look" at a sit down long arm. Thank you Barbara for all your video guidance.

I brought my quilt top to work today and pinned it to an empty cube wall. Anyone who comes near is REQUIRED to pay an "ooh and ahhh" tax, before they can leave.

Thank you to Irene Blanck for a wonderful pattern and to The Quilt Show and Barbara Black for great instructions! Finished my quilt and entered it into the local show, Arapahoe County Quilters. I was honored to win Best of Show, Best (Domestic) Machine Quilting, and 1st place in large appliqué quilts. It was a great project, learned lots of new techniques. Made the appliqué and quilting pop by using a double batt and Bottom Line thread for the quilting.

Add another Grand Champion Ribbon for my Garden Party Down Under at our Waushera County Fair. WOW those in attending the judging and the judge herself.
This is the second one in a row, last year for “Trip Around the World”.
Thanks to The Quilt Show for these BOM and all the guidance by the designer and Barbara. Next year will be this year’s BOM. (Secretly I have finished it with a few minor changes of my own) I will do Big Stitch Quilting on this one, something I have never done, so far so good.

It took me a while, but my quilt is finished and I love it. I didn’t care as much for the diamond border, so did my own thing

Love, love, love your quilt. My Garden Party still does not have the last border on it. I really like the way it calms it down.
Might do the same thing with mine. HelenW

I finished this a while back and thought I posted, but I guess it didn’t upload. This has got to be one of my favorite quits. I dug deep in my stash to get fabrics and didn’t buy anything new except for the backing. What a fun project to make. I quilted it on my Nolting Fun Quilter.

Finally finished this center section of the BOM. Makes a very nice 37” wall hanging for my living room.

Yea, I loved this project and finally got it completed. Used needle turn technique for all of the applique (first time doing this) Quilt top needs a good pressing. Thanks Irene Blanck and Barbara Black for a super enjoyable experrience!

I, too, finally finished this quilt. I was so scared to soak/wash out all the glue and stabilizers, but it came through like a champ. Definitely needs more ironing. Such a wonderful class. Thank you Irene and Barbara!!!
