Pamela, this is so beautiful! I love you made the quilt your own by making the outer border a dogtooth border. Lovely.

I really like your colorway! Are the vases with the bars done with bias strips? If so, is there a foundation underneath or are they open like a basket or cage?

Hi Bob, I made bias strips using Celtic bars, wove the basket pattern on top of a drawing I made, tacked and re-tacked onto fabric.

JoAnne, I too am in love with your quilt. It is stunning. Really like your using a different border color on the diamond outside border. I would never have thought of that, and I use dark backgrounds all
the time. I love the way it looks. HelenW

Dorothy, I like the super narrow blue border and the fact you put some background strips on both
sides of your diamond border. What are your plans for the extra border to make it queen size? HelenW

i still have one applique border to make it queen size. I embroidered all squares though you can't really see it in the picture.
