I've triple-checked, and the patterns for Month 10 that I printed out for my two skinny vase blocks finish at 13 1/2" (Finished - no seam allowances), so they would be cut at 14" to include the seam allowances, but the instructions indicate to trim the applique blocks to 14 1/2"! Why are the patterns only 13 1/2"? I cut my applique backgrounds to be generous for my freezer-paper copies of the printed-out patterns, but I'm not sure I'll have enough for a full 14 1/2" length listed on the non-pattern page.

Check your printer settings. The patterns print out accurately. When taped together be sure your pattern measures 14.5” x 6.5” including seam allowances. The background was cut somewhat larger than that so the blocks are trimmed to 14.5” x 6.5” after the appliqué is done.

Loving these 2 vases. Need to join all the blocks then on to working on the borders.

I finished month 10! I added a dot grunge border on each side of the panel and made my striped border 8 1/2” unfinished. I’m trying to add some extra length and width so this quilt can better fit my bed.

Thanks for posting the wider border. I was thinking of making mine wider also and now I know that I will love that look!

Here are my October blocks with my Inspiration Fabric. I’m doing hand appliqué and I can’t say I loved all those circles. Regardless, I’m happy with the blocks and ready for November.
I added my assembled quilt. Sewing and pressing made me a little silly crazy.

My 2 vases are finished and I’m happy. Now I need to assemble the quilt so I can do the first border. Very pleasant quilt to make.

Started on these borders. I am sewing them on first on all the tops (diamonds) and returning on the bottom. This seems to work well for me. It might be a good way if you were machine appliqué them working on the long edge. Thought I would share that.

Why is it when we get to this stage our patience to finish is in overdrive?

I am not sure which is more time consuming, these diamonds or those billions of tiny circles.

I plan on finishing these 4 borders and then appliqué the last 2 vases and then the corner square appliqué.

So close…but still a lot to do!

              Thanks for this great BOM.
Next year’s peak’s are for another great BOM! Maybe I will take a break prior to the New Year, but this one will need to be quilted. Excited for that step.
It is always something, but so fun!

After seeing what others have done, I wish I had used several different colored fabrics for the berries in the pink vase. Maybe I will add some "tumbling" berries" as one person did. I am still working on the borders. We are getting close to finishing! How will we quilt this beauty?

Here is photo so far. after appliqué blocks for month 10. I've since added the border to the right side. I only needed 20 pieced diamonds as my measurements worked out that way- opted not to do 1" floater border on inside but plan to add one on the outside.

Before cutting out the equilateral triangles I drew a line with frixion pen on the top and bottom of the strips (look closely!) so I could easily see which side of the triangle was on grain. Very helpful when at the machine to sew the triangles on to the diamonds!

I took a couple of months off to work on a few other projects, so this month I have spent playing catch up!
I’m a pretty linear person, so one of the things that I have enjoyed the most is having the ‘permission’ to change up the background fabrics. I would never have done this on my own.
