Jill, I would love to see your quilt blocks as you make them. I was thinking about using the flowers
without vases in another quilt I plan to make. HelenW

I will do, but I have so many other projects ongoing, I’m a Contemporary Quilter in England so design all my pieces but like to follow a pattern sometimes when I’m waiting for inspiration.
I have started quilting but it’s put away just now, it will be done in the winter months then I’ll put it up.

Loved making the little vases. And so happy to see progress. On the photo that we received for this month's blocks, it looked like Irene Blanck did not add the 1/8 inch stem above the flower petals. So I decided to leave them off as well.

Getting prepared for the borders. I decided to change the direction of the stripe. Cannot see the seam at all! I wish now I had used “fuse and press for the diamonds and I wouldn’t have to remove the backing.

You do not remove the background. Irene’s instructions say to remove the paper BEFORE you appliqué in place. My video clearly shows this.

ICenter with top and bottom blocks and left side blocks are sewn together. They have fit together perfectly. I paper pieced the border diamonds using the printed triangle strips from the pattern. Have already chosen flower, leaf and vase fabric for November blocks. I can hardly wait to get the printouts. This has been fun.
