        Nothing very original. First time I’ve done turned edge hand appliqué. I’ve always done raw edge fusible machine appliqué in past. Happy with results.

        Must thank Alex for her embroidery class for reacquainting me to the pleasure of hand needle work.

                        I love the pattern but don't really like "fantasy flowers"so decided to do "Wildflowers Down Under".
                        Using the pattern and concept, with the vases as given all in a blue shade, I have designed appliques of Australian wildflowers to put in the vases instead.
                        Month 1 is Waratahs and the border for Month 2 is Sturts Desert Pea.
                        The border triangles for these 2 months is a print of Flannel Flowers in 2 colourways.
