I printed the pattern on my Quilters Select Print and Piece and the first sheet printed fine on my HP laser printer but after that, every sheet had echoes of sheets that had already printed. I tried printing on regular paper in between but that didn't seem to make any difference. Any ideas?

Jeanne, the Quilters Select website says Print&Piece Fuse Lite is to be used with Ink Jet Printers. Using a Laser Jet printer with a fusible product can result in some big problems. Check with your printers' specifications/instructions to see what the company recommends.

Well I didn't realize there were two similarly named products and bought the one without the fusible so I figured I would just use a little glue to tack it down. I also did read the packaging but did not see where it said inkjet only. I will have to look again. Good news is my printer seems fine. I have done a lot of applique so I may just do this with some other method too.
        Thanks for your quick reply.

Jeanne, I googled in why you should not print fusible in a laser printer and it came up with because the laser heat up the image to put it on the paper. The heating melts the fusible and makes a gummy sticky mess, that can ruin your printer. HelenW

I purchased the kit and kit with all the accessories. Therefore I used the recommended fusible for the applique shapes. I did prewash all fabrics. Has anyone washed block one to remove the fusible? If so, do you recommend doing this?

I did last year while making the sample quilt. A batik bled on the background so I decided not to do that again. When the quilt was finished I washed and dried it and it is fine.

Barbara, how did you wash the single block? And how did you wash whole quilt after quilting?

The block was put in the kitchen sink with warm water. I let it sit about 15 minutes then swished it around a bit.

The finished quilt was run through the wash with Orvus paste. Express wash cycle. Then I dried it to almost dry on medium heat. It was then laid out flat to dry completely.
