Thanks, Helen, for doing these mockups. I tried posting something the other day, but the Forum was giving me a hard time. As soon as I finish up on my outer garden, I'm going to start looking for border fabrics. So far out of my comfort zone!

Hi Carole B. I saw your name on the sidebar when I watched Alex Live yesterday. I saw another unique border design that
is just made up of half square triangles. It was on a Wendy Williams pattern that was posted on the internet. The color placement
really added to the impact of it. Probably would look best if the background fabric was the same as the quilt background fabric.
Just another idea to let you know, it does not need to be difficult to look great. HelenW

Another idea just popped into my head. If you feel too out of your comfort zone, you could do this border type by just appliquéing
the half square triangle color shapes much like you did for the center mariners compass. Cut a long strip for the border of the
background fabric mark the squares and draw the diagonals and then appliqué each color triangle in the correct spot. Bet it would look great!!! The over all look would b the same.

Helen--Thank you for thinking about me! That's quite the border. More food for thought. In the meantime, I've been having fun embellishing my outer garden. Think I'm going to name this little gal Helen! Be sure to click on photo to see all of her! Have a good weekend! ~Carole B.

I love that idea of using a night sky for your Tall Buildings and a Day sky for your Houses. Very Nice !
