I have now finished Tall Buildings Number 3.
For the small houses I used 32 different colours so each house had a unique colour combination.
For the Tall buildings I have used the same colourway of the small building diagonally opposite. Some times a darker colour has been added as the shadow, usually in a darker shade as used in the inner houses
Luckily I have space on the bedroom wall to pin the pieces as I make progress. This is how it is looking now.
As you can see I have added my own touch to make it more Australian by changes the trees to look like Eucalyptus trees.
I also have my four cottages in the city as I started designing them as soon as Barbara gave us the dimensions of the blocks.
My Mariners compass is in blue, yellow, green and pink so they are the colours for the cottages
I know we were told not to do any sewing yet but I just HAD to see if my designs work. I am very happy with them. They will also shelter under tall Eucalyptus trees.

I've been distracted this month with birthdays, vacation, and grandkids going back to school. But I'm plugging away at the buildings. I founds some great fat quarters to add to my zootopia quilt while at Sanibel's Three Crafty Ladies shop. And the frogs are ready to party in their new building. So I had to show them off. I'll be making masks this weekend for my friends at school who are back to mandatory masks, but will keep plugging away at the buildings as I can.Ellen Lindow

Getting back at working on my wholecloth quilt using wool felt on linen after giving it a break for a few months. I had started working on the tall buildings back a few months ago, but had skipped over doing my outer road since I couldn't make up my mind on how to approach. Helen W. suggested to repeat the garden I had planted for the inner road. Brilliant! This is a dry run for placement of the flowers I've sown along with the tall buildings constructed thus far. I'm pleased with how this is turning out. Thank you, Helen!Carole Berry

Hummingbird Lane. Just a couple butterflies and the ready to bind it and put a sleeve on it. What a work of art you are creating.
I am so glad you jumped aboard the TQS website. You are an inspiration of all that are doing Color My World.
Your barn with with sheep and cat in the loft is just too too cute. HelenWLast edited by Helen W.; 08-26-2021, 10:54 AM.
