One of my local students, Evelyn S, came to class this week with her Small House Ring all together. Such pretty colors and so different from the original.

Being from Down Under I decided to do things a little differently and give my trees a more natural look. Pretty happy with the result and the ring size works too. Yeah!

I almost did my trees like you did but decided to showcase the different fabrics for all the trees.

      Yes, that is the recommendation.

Still a little fullness to my inner ring even after tightening some seams. Hopefully I can ease in.

Josephine, You might want to wait until you get the inside road done to decide you need to tighten up
the fullness. It might fit perfectly when you stitch it to the ring. You will know when you pin the road circle. HelenW

Love your mariner’s compass! It is very dramatic. Can’t wait to see the roads finished.

I’ve finished my trees and now have the pairs all sewn together in a circle. It seemed like it was flat on the outer circumference but a wee bit wavy on the inner circle. I just spritzed/misted that area with water and they have laid down now!

I’ve never assembled a quilt like this, it’s exciting & kinda nerve racking at the same time. My trees are doing their own haphazard thing but hopefully it’ll all come together nicely.

Couldn't do the plain black tree trunks. Couldn't do the plain green trees. Just like I couldn't do the houses with plain fabric. I am really happy with the way they turned out.

Well after a lot of seam adjustments, my "ring" is almost flat - may need some more adjusting, but not today. I am loving this quilt.

my little houses waiting for trees..... and here they are. I didn't want just solid greens for my trees so I chose a modern-looking tree printed fabric

Out of all the BOM’s I’ve done this one comes in at Number 1. It is fun to make! All the houses were so enjoyable. I made them one at a time so I could choose all the individual colours. Like I said, sooooo much fun!. Thank you.
