    Mariner’s Compass

I finished my compass. I didn’t notice that it had corrections to the directions.

Only one word and anyone who read my blog and watched the video didn’t need to read that word. It has been fixed now.

        Didn't work

I finished my Mariner's Compass 3 weeks ago. I really enjoyed making it. I spent some time getting the seams right on the quarters. I think that helped a lot in getting the center right when I joined the halves. Barbara's technique of basting the center first was vey helpful also. I'm going to remember the technique for the future. Click image for larger version

I've grown to like the purple and orange combination so that's what I chose for my Mariner's Compass.

Beautiful compass. The background fabric is inspired.

Here is what I have so far. I wasn't crazy about the houses but I did like the theme "Color My World" which I carried over into the compass.
