Will the sm houses #3 and #4 be the same as the sm houses
#1 and #2? I'm assuming they are. I got on a roll making them.

Confused. Read information about the base sizes. Sure enough, even though 1” scale was accurate the base of Small House 1 was off. Reprinted at 105% which corrected the problem. Small House 2 at actual printed out the correct base measurement. Don’t both houses have to be printed at the same scale to join correctly? Doesn’t this make them larger? Grateful for any clarification.

Owasyleczko. I would think they would need to be the same size or the circle won't go together without a lot of filler strips or other modifications. Cut out one house from house one and one house 2; lay one on top of the other on a light box or window and see if they are identical. If yes you are good to go. If not you try to find a friend to print the pattern or redraw the outside lines and seam lines on one piece and make your copies from that. Good luck. In an ideal world all printers would print perfectly. HelenW

Thank you Helen. Did as you suggested and taped house patterns together, they aligned. Checked further in Forum messages and should have checked Barbara’s excellent link showing how her house patterns measured. I was basing my concern on a Forum member’s reply saying the height of House 1 base should be 4 5/16ths. If I am viewing Barbara’s photo correctly House 1 base is 4 1/8th which is 4 2/16ths. Breathing a sigh of relief as fudging is not my strong suit!

When cutting fabric - the 3.5 inch strips for house blocks 1& 2 can you also cut into the greens or are they best left for the trees? Taking the plunge and starting with the houses!!!

Fanplus, yes you can cut the greens for houses. The only fabrics not to cut are the charcoal and cream—they are for the Roads.

Hi Everyone, I'm trying to post this where the most people will see this so I hope this is the right spot. I have an Epson 4760 printer. I have never had a problem printing out patterns and getting the scale right until today. Here I am, happily printing out a few things and something told me to check my scale settings. I have always had to use 103% to get the exact 1" box. Today, I checked and I had to alter my scale to 101%. Luckily my gut instinct piped up and said "hum, why not check just to be sure." Not that anyone else will have this difference but better safe than sorry. CHECK THE BOX EVERY TIME.

See if your printer has an A4 setting rather than letter size. A small arrow would be to the right of 'letter'.

Barbara, I am wondering why the differentiation between
the last piece of sewn fabric on house 1 and house 2. One overlaps to the left, and one overlaps to the right. I am wondering if it makes a difference later on. Otherwise, it seems they could all overlap the same direction, just to avoid a tiny bit of difficulty I had in the beginning before I caught on. My curiosity is getting the better of me. Thank you!

                              Hello to all out there!

I work with an Elna 720 Pro and finnaly figured out how to use the edge foot
First I had to change to my general plate, it does not work with my single whole plate.
My edge foot I called G (Foto attached)
And on stitch 001 I had to adjust position from 3,5 to 3,1 (Foto attached)
So, all of us who don't have Bernina machines can find a solution as well

                              Happy sewing

Plcasassa, that is how the designer made all the Small Houses. The same is true for the remaining Small Houses 3 and 4. Following the sewing lines should be pretty straightforward.
