Thank God for you math-minded peeps.Originally posted by "HelenW" post=152891Roxanne, The wedge size including the seam allowance would be the same size for the 32 small houses. HelenWOriginally posted by "roxannecooper" post=152887have we determined that all 4 houses are the same wedge size?

Roxanne, when I placed the bottom edges of House 1 and 2 on top of each other, there was about 1/16" difference in width. The 1" scale on both pages is the same. There is only a slight difference at the top edge. I don't know if this will affect the final results or not but 8 times 1/16" equals 1/2". That's why I decided to redraw them for my 75% size version, plus I wanted to use 1/8" measurements to make it easier to assemble without paper.

PatMac99, I will probably do regular paper piecing , just because doing a circle without the security of having the lines on the seam allowance of outer edge makes me realOriginally posted by "PatMac99" post=152909I assume everyone is using freezer paper. Tried it that way but prefer the traditional paper piecing. Guess I'm a dinosaur. The end result, however, is that the houses are beautiful and can't wait for next month.
nervous. When 360 degree circles come out short or too much, it won't lay flat. I normally leave the paper on when connecting units, like the wedges, and you can sew two
wedges together and look at the bottom piece after stitching and see if it is right on the line or narrow, or wide. That is why I love paper piecing for accuracy!!! HelenWHelenW

Pat, you posted this in Alex Anderson's Classroom--I moved it here to the 2021 BOM.Originally posted by "PatMac99" post=152909I assume everyone is using freezer paper. Traditional paper piecing works the same as freezer paper it just takes lots more paper and a few other differences. Use whichever method works best for you.

I have a Jamone as well. I am using the F pressure foot and the single hole plate...no problem. Try slowing the machine down and go slowOriginally posted by "Teresa987" post=152920Did a practice house, tuned out cute.
However, my Janome 1/4" presser foot drags on the exposed freezer paper when sewing the long background pieces.
I did raise the foot pressure to help. Any suggestions?
