Annis, I love your quilts and was just about to say "I recognize that quilt hanger" when I saw Marilyn's remark. Marilyn, my brother made it. Annis met him in Houston. You can google their web site http://www.summerskycreations.com He does custom hangers and also has some premade, as you will see on the site. :-)

I might be interested in doing the house block exchange that Rita mentioned. Edyta Sitar has some strip houses in her book Friendship Strips & Scraps that I have been considering for a long time. However, the Kaffe houses look even easier.

Annis your quilts are so pretty. I am looking forward to seeing the photos of your newly restored retreat studio. As for the Kaffe Fassett house block I just did a test one. OMG they finish at 2 1/8th inches. Way too small for me and far too fiddly. Edyta's house block is actually relatively easy to do once you have got the knack of sewing 1" strips together. But equally they could be done with one piece of fabric for the body of the house rather than strips.

Where is Edyta's house block to be found? I think that sounds like fun.

Carol Doak has a 3 inch block in the e-book that comes with her Craftsy class. She has a 4 inch house in the book 300 Paper-Pieced Quilt Blocks. Neither one looks particularly fiddly. We may just have to decide on a finished size.

Laundry Basket ones are a bit big...4 in. or 6in. would be nice....house blocks have several pieces
                          in most cases....and paper-pieced is the easiest,IMHO.....

Marilyn, I ordered several of their hangers over a year ago. I'm just now starting to get quilts put on them. They are very well made and they have such pretty designs!

I've already made several house quilts. This is one of them with 3" blocks. If I were to make another one it would be for a friend who recently made a comment about the first house quilt I made about 35 years ago, and the blocks would be much larger to make it at least lap size. I really need to do that but not sure when I will fit it into my schedule.
