Loise, I am so sorry to hear that you wont be getting to Houston. I know poor Hanne-Grete is sitting in Norway feeling very grumpy too. I would be if it was me! I know that there are others out there with their flights likely to be cancelled. Such a disappointment when people has spent so much time saving and looking forward to going. As those who have been before know it is less about the shopping, we can do most of that online, but its about meeting up with TQS friends, old and new.

Lois, So sorry about the Houston show this year. We can both be grumpy and grateful together. :?
I've been grumpy about not going all along...just can't afford it this year...and grateful we weathered the storm with no damage. The lights flickered a few times, but that was all. There's always next year.

Boo-hoo-hoo!
I'm not going to Houston. :x
I just spent an entire day at the airport - airplane not going anywhere. :x Cancelled. Wish they knew that before I got up at 4:40 AM. Now past 6:35 PM, and the plane has not moved. I am home now. A few people might get lucky with a cancelled class or two. I'm sorry I won't be there, but I think I am too exhausted to be sad or tidy the house, like Lois.
Next on the agenda:
Bath.
Bed.
Tomorrow: watch as many TQS classes and shows as I want, and maybe spend the whole day in my PJ's. Maybe eat cake. But I don't have any in the house.
Have fun everyone! Maybe next year - or Paducah??

Aw no, not you too Terrie! So sorry.I hope you find some chocolate or at least a glass of wine and some candles for the bath. Libby Lehman's class also expires tomorrow (oops it's today here now) so there's another one to add to the list. Halloween has played a mean trick on you and Lois this year. :x

So sorry to read you didn't get to fly out yesterday. Hope you find a bit of chocolate a handful of flour or ground almonds, an egg, sugar and a bit of grated lemon rind, or vanilla, or a shot of rum or grand marnier to make yourself a little cake with... Only takes five minutes to throw together, bake half an hour or so in muffin tin, and your good to go... One should never have to go without cake when one needs it - and you certainly do now!Lotti, Kuessnacht - Switzerland
